St. Peter is a small mountain village at 1210m above sea level located at the entrance to the Val Gardena, just 8 km off the main town St. Ulrich.

Its sunny, calm and central location makes it an ideal starting point for wxcursions to the nearby Western Dolomites with its mountain tracks and skiing resorts, and to the culturally interesting towns of the Valle Isarco.

Thanks to the railway connection of the Val Gardena built during World War 1, a simple farmer's Inn, Which dates back to the 16th century, became the modern Hotel "Überbacher".

By car:
Motorway exit (Chiusa/Klausen) on the A22, then 10 km to the Hotel Überbacher.

By train:
IC and EC trains stop in Bolzano/Bozen (30 km) and Bressanone/Brixen (20 km). Some also stop at Chiusa/Klausen (10 km). Bus service or taxi to St. Peter.

By air:
The nearest airport is Verona (190 km). Other airports: Innsbruck (150 km), Milan (300 km) and Munich (300 km).
Since march '99 for few destinations is also working the new airport Bolzano-Dolomiti (30 km).
